Digital colourization created from three separate production still from the early Tarzan films. Below, the original photos (reduced) from which the above artwork was created. The portrait used for Tarzan was for the first film in that series, Tarzan, the Ape Man (1932); Jane’s image came from a still for Tarzan and His Mate (1934); with Cheeta the chimp coming from a later “family” portrait, from Tarzan’s Secret Treasure (1941) — the branch Cheeta is sitting on in my artwork came from yet another, entirely different Tarzan promotional still (not shown).
